1. About this notice
This notice explains how QuaVis Technologies GmbH handles personal data when you visit this website or contact us by email or telephone. Personal data are any information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
This is an informational website. It has no contact form, user accounts, newsletter or online ordering. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Fonts, images, videos, styles and scripts are delivered from our own server; no content from third-party services is embedded. Videos play only when you start them.

3. Visiting the website
The website is hosted on our own server at our premises in Sauerlach, Germany, and operated by us. No external hosting provider or content delivery network is involved. Your internet access provider transports the data between your device and our server.
When your browser requests a page or a file, our server processes the technical data needed to deliver the response: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested address, the response status, the amount of data transferred, the page you came from if your browser sends it, and your browser and operating system identification.
Our reverse proxy records this data in server logs. Access logs are rotated weekly and kept for about five weeks; error logs are kept for up to about three months. The logs are used to deliver the website reliably, to detect and defend against attacks and misuse, and to find and correct faults. They are not combined with other data about you and are not evaluated for marketing purposes. Only our administrators can read them.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of the website. You cannot visit the website without this data being processed.
Connections to the website are encrypted with TLS (HTTPS).
4. Contacting us by email or telephone
The email and telephone links on this website open the corresponding application on your device. Nothing is submitted through the website itself.
If you write to us or call us, we process the data you provide, such as your name, contact details, company, the content of your enquiry and any subsequent correspondence. We use this data to answer your enquiry, to prepare and perform contracts with you or your company, and to maintain the business relationship.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns a contract with you or steps you have asked for before entering into one, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and communicating with business contacts. Where we are legally required to keep records, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.
Our email mailboxes are hosted by STRATO AG, Berlin, Germany, which processes emails on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Telephone calls are carried by our telecommunications providers. Please send sensitive information only after agreeing a suitable channel with us.
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and with any resulting business relationship. Business correspondence and accounting records are then kept for the statutory retention periods under German commercial and tax law, which are six or ten years. Other enquiries are deleted once the matter is closed.
5. Recipients and transfers
We pass personal data on only to the service providers named in this notice, to authorities where we are legally obliged to do so, and to advisers bound by professional confidentiality where this is necessary to assert or defend legal claims. Our servers and service providers are located in Germany. We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, subject to its statutory conditions, you have the right:
- to obtain confirmation whether we process your personal data and to receive access to that data and a copy of it (Article 15);
- to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed (Article 16);
- to have your data erased, for example when it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected (Article 17);
- to have processing restricted, for example while the accuracy of the data is checked (Article 18);
- to receive the data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have it transmitted to another controller (Article 20);
- to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, where processing is based on consent (Article 7(3)).
Right to object (Article 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of our legitimate interests, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
To exercise your rights, contact us using the details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.
7. Automated decisions
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, in connection with this website or your enquiries.
8. Changes to this notice
